What are the measurements of the furniture?

Our wedding and event furniture is designed for comfort and style.

Ceremony:
– Timber Arbour: H 2.3m x W 2.1m
– Circle Arbour: 2m diameter
– White Ceremony Benches: 2.4m long

Reception:
– Tables: 240cm (L) x 90cm (W) x 77cm (H)
– Plates: 25cm diameter
– Chairs: H 90cm x W 40cm
– Fireplace: L 244cm, Mantle Depth 14cm

What is the ceiling height?

The ceiling height for hanging installations is 4 metres. All draping, lighting, or décor setups must be handled by a qualified rigger to ensure safety.

How many guests can sit at each table?

Each of our banquet tables comfortably seats 8 guests (4 per side), ensuring plenty of space for dining and conversation.

Is a cake stand included?

A cake stand is not provided; however, The Acre supplies a wine barrel as a stand and a cake knife for the cutting ceremony.

Can we visit the venue after booking?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to revisit The Acre to finalise your wedding details. Please email our Weddings & Events Team to arrange a time.

How much food is included in the banquet menus?

Our banquet menus are generous and crafted to delight. We guarantee no guest leaves hungry, with dishes featuring fresh, locally sourced produce.

Do we need a menu tasting?

No tasting is required. We take pride in our farm-to-table menus, using the freshest local ingredients to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable culinary experience.

When are progress payments due?

Your wedding payment plan is divided into four instalments: three progress payments (outlined in your contract) and a final balance due 14 days before your celebration.

What is the music volume limit?

A maximum music decibel level of 75db applies. Drums, bass/electric guitars, or subwoofers require prior approval. The Acre reserves the right to adjust volume as needed.

What is the curfew time?

Friday/Saturday: Last drinks at 10:30pm, music ends 10:45pm, property vacated by 11:15pm.
Sunday–Thursday: Last drinks at 10:15pm, music ends 10:30pm, property vacated by 11:00pm.

Who manages supplier arrangements?

Couples liaise directly with their vendors and suppliers. Our team is happy to assist with venue logistics, bump-in/out details, and timing coordination.

When is bump-in and bump-out?

Bump-in: From 9am on your event day (confirm with our team).
– Bump-out: Must be completed within 30 minutes post-event unless otherwise approved. Additional staff costs may apply for delays.

Does The Acre handle setup and pack down?

We manage setup and pack down for all venue inclusions. For additional styling or decor, you can DIY, coordinate with suppliers, or request our Set-Up Service (fees apply).

When and where is the final meeting held?

Your final planning meeting occurs 10–12 weeks before the wedding – onsite, via Zoom, or phone.

Discussion includes:
Final numbers, menu selections, dietary needs, beverages, timeline, floor plan, setup, and vendor details.

Do you have transport recommendations?

Yes! For seamless guest transfers, we recommend Currumbin Valley Coaches and Koala Koaches.

Does the venue provide a microphone and Bluetooth speaker?

Yes, we supply a wireless microphone and Bluetooth speaker for use on the lawn and in the barn. Please note your celebrant must bring their own system for the ceremony.

Are golf buggies included?

Yes, your wedding package includes two bridal buggies, seating up to 7 people.

What types of confetti are permitted?

Only eco-friendly confetti such as rose petals, herbs, dried leaves, and water-soluble options are allowed. A Clean-Up Fee applies. See The Whole Bride for 15% off.

Are dogs allowed at The Acre?

Yes! Dogs are welcome on a lead. We recommend hiring First Class Pet Wedding Assistants for a stress-free experience.

Are candles allowed on tables?

We allow candles enclosed in sturdy vessels extending beyond the flame. Tapered candles must have sleeves, and tealights must be in votives. Flameless LED candles are also encouraged.

What are the best ceremony times for each season?

Summer: 3:00–3:30pm
Autumn/Spring: 2:30–3:30pm
Winter: 2:00–2:30pm

Are there accommodation options nearby?

Yes, we offer a curated list of nearby accommodation options for you and your guests – perfect for a relaxed stay before or after your celebration.

Does The Acre have heating or cooling?

Yes. The barn features indoor ceiling heaters and portable outdoor heaters for cooler evenings. A fireplace can be lit on request (firewood charge applies). While the barn isn’t air-conditioned, its insulated ceiling and ceiling fans maintain comfort. Misting fans can also be hired from Kennards Hire for summer events.
